Who We Are

Team 6120: The CyberStangs are a FIRST Robotics Competition team out of Merritt Academy in New Haven, Michigan.

The team was founded in 2016 by Head Mentor John Barber, who taught at Merritt. Now, at the end of the 2024 season, the team has 11 student members in grades 8-12 from various schools in Macomb County and 6 mentors hailing from various professions in STEM related industries.

Belleville District Event: Ranked: 8th of 39 teams, Captain of 5th Alliance Record: 8-6-0 Finished: Eliminated in Semifinals Awards: Judges’ Award

Macomb District Event: Ranked: 9th of 39 teams, Captain of 5th Alliance Record: 10-6-0 Finished: Eliminated in Semifinals, 4th Place Overall Alliance
